[Vwdiesel] Shock opinions

My '85 Jetta is badly in need of rear shocks. Over the years, I've been
through Cofap oil, Boge gas, cheap Monroe gas, etc. and never been
happy with the lifespan of them. Eshocks.com has Bilstein TC shocks for
$46 each. I've heard good things about the Bisltein HD shocks, but are
there TC any good. I understand the TC are basically stock replacement.
Also, they list different part #s for basic and GLI/GTI versions. Can I opt for
the GLI version with my base Jetta, or is the tube shorter?
I have fairly decent Spax front shocks, so I'm going to just do the rear for
now, and hope to cure my saggy rear end problem...
I'm using 195/60R14 tires, and they are rubbing the body under full travel,
since the shocks are so bad, and the rubber bump stops are probably
gone by now.
I'd appreciate any advice, especially a good place in Canada for shocks.
