Yes, as Val wrote, they do exist.
Is the hole stripped, or is it cracked down the side of the injector boss
and this caused the threads to strip?
If it's not cracked, a good machine shop can manufacture a one-off insert to
save the head. I'm afraid the head will have to come off to install it
properly. Insert needs to be made, the hole threaded larger, insert threaded
into the hole with high strength loctite, mebbe staked for good measure,
then it should be good to go.
If the boss is cracked, it can be welded and remachined by a competent head
shop.
Tell friend he has more work ahead.
It may be easier to purchase a rebuilt head from one of the suppliers others
on the list have used.

Hello, I was in process of replacing injector nozzles when the phone rang.
A friend (well intentioned) decided to finish the job and stripped out one
of the injector holes.
Is this head toast, or is there an insert I can get to repair it?
So far my web searches haven't been of help.
Thanks in advance.
