[Vwdiesel] deisel into gas jetta.

When you say, "strut housing shifted in", can you be more specific? I have fixed some crashes in this same area. Maybe all is not lost.

hi kids.

im sad to say my little 1980 jetta that i built up last year
had a misfortunate introduction to a tree.
it was a slow speed introduction,
( slowing for a corner and a stop sign..avoiding a deer...
tire caught up on tree root n railroaded me into tree...
 just my luck! :o/  )
((my introduction to living on gulf islands so im told..
lesson one..dont swerve for bambi  )
i did not think the damage would be bad..
but..
 we hit  front right corner,
collapsing the 'crumple zone'  (??)
motor is fine.
headlights not even broken..just folded in nicely :o(
bumper not even bent..
rad fine...just not body./
right strut housing shifted in..misshapen.
anyway..
i feel i cannot fix her this time.
but i do have a gas 85 jetta potentially at my disposal..
and i may put the n/a diesel into it.
asides from issues with year differences...(motor mounts)
and wiring stuff.
are there things in a gasser 86 *not * compatible?
like fuel lines?
(i have not looked at this gasser yet)
is the exhaust smaller? larger?

this gasser body is mint..very nice..one owner.
so it worth some time.
the diesel motor was completely re-built last year..by me 
so its worth the time.
(least  *I* think so :o)  )
