[Vwdiesel] air filter housing (need hillbilly engineering)

Folks,

It turns out the plastic that holds in the clips on the bottom of my air
filter housing is broken.

A lot of us faced that VW dastardly PLASTIC  --all over the place --it dries out and
becomes brittle.------------------BUT give us all the details again Model Year  etc etc.

I have a bunch of good  housings here ---068  129  605 A    ---one right in my
hand.---------------------------------------34 cm us long  by  14  cm opening -----get a
pack of  Scotch Weld   3M-----it is a tube kit  --and it works like a hot damned on a lot
of hard to fix problems.  --Kit   2216/BA gray.
