sometimes you have to press pretty hard. Slidey hammer would beat the crap
out of a lot of stuff, transfering shock and such. screw presses are more
direct to the target area, and less breakage of all else. Last spindle I
had to take apart needed roughly 20 T force in a 50T press, it popped apart
with a bang, and chunks shot out like a cannon, well beyond the slide hammer
or swing press realm.
In areas with less salt, maybe.
