[Vwdiesel] New (old) VW diesel owner again, finally

Hi All,

After almost 20 years since my last VW diesel ('80 Audi 4000SD) I finally
have another one!!!!!   :)  :)

Even though I am going in for major heart surgery soon, I just couldn't pass
this one up.  It's a rusted out '85 Golf with less than 100,000 miles that
has been sitting for at least 6 months but it has a 5 speed and starts right
up with hardly any smoke at startup and almost no diesel "clatter".

The plan is to get it on the road, convert to a 2 tank WVO system and then
start looking for a newer body to put the engine/tranny into.

My question is how new of a body can I bolt this '85 engine/tranny  into
without welding?
