Hi Mark,

Could you put a 4 cyl engine on a 5 cyl transaxle or is the bolt pattern
different?

Bell housing different; but  what I don't know is would the gearbox part be
common? So that the 5 cylinder gear cluster could be dropped onto the end
of a four cylinder engine/bell housing and transaxle? I suspect there would
be a swap needed with the drive to the differential as well.  0.53:1 fifth
8^D or about 80mpg ish
