[Vwdiesel] 84 TD to 91 Jetta swap

I'm swapping the engine from my 84 Jetta TD to a nice 91 Jetta body that I
picked up.  The transmission in the 91 is the AVX and the donor car has the
7A.  Does anyone have any thoughts on how this combination will work and or
any suggestions for a better combination?
 
I do a lot of highway driving and the 84 with the 7A seemed about ideal.
 
I'm also looking for a Turbo Downpipe for an A2 and will have one from an A1
to trade or sell.
