[Vwdiesel] Waste engine oil

I built a 10 kW generating plant based on a 1980 VW 1.5 NA from a Rabbit.
Initially I had put a 1.6NA in it from an '84 Jetta but that engine had low
oil pressure and blowby issues so had to be swapped out. I have tried
burning waste transmission fluid (ATF) filtered to 2 microns and heated to
reduce the viscocity. It actually makes more power on WTF per litre and you
can seee the throttle close down a bit when the fuel is switched over than
on clear diesel but the injectors coke up badly in just an hour running. I
have tried dilluting the WTF to 50% with clear diesel and that only delayed
the coking problem, did not eliminate it. I then tried 25% WTF-75% diesel
and got longer runs but still coking. I am suspecting that the fine
particulates from clutches and bands which used TF will have lots of are
causing the problem. Engine oil will not have this problem so you may be
able to use it if heated to reduce viscocity and run through a 2 micron
Caterpillar fuel filter. My waste oil filter farm employes in the following
order mounted on the genset; a fuel heater/water separator employing a heat
exchanger fed by engine coolant from the heater connection on the head, a 10
micron Goldenrod water trap (with drain cock) filter and finally a 2 micron
Caterpillar type fuel filter.

Energy shortage? Impossible! In most of the developed world, the exception
being England, electrons literally swarm out of the ground.
