[Vwdiesel] Bearings

I'm looking to doing a rebuild on the 2.0L Audi 5-cylinder I have 
sitting in the garage, in preparation for putting it into my '68 Quantum 
Syncro.

I have new belts, a new water pump, new plugs, the plug relay I'll need 
to do the conversion, but I'm having a bit of a time finding bearings 
that "feel" like they'd be reliable. You know, from someone I know.

What are your opinions, oh listers of diesel-ownership? What 
manufacturer do you get your bearings from, when it comes time to 
replace them? Should I be looking for "undersize" bearings?
