[Vwdiesel] rear wheel bearing preload

I had been riding the bike to work while the wifes subaru was in the 
shop, she said it was driving funny over 50 mph, it sure was, I thought 
a shock was broken from the vibration, after grabbing the wheels and 
shaking, I found a loose left wheel bearing. I just picked up new inner 
and outer bearings and seals for both sides {rear} are the front wheel 
bearings unitized bearings, or are they separate like the back.
