[Vwdiesel] oil pan

I was able to get my pan off my 91 jetta with no problems. The bolts between
the transmission and engine were not bad. I just used a 1/4" setup for them.
If the pan is really pushed it it might have bent the oil pickup tube. If so
not sure if that can be fixed. As for fixing the dented in part, it can
probably be done but is it worth it and the leaks that might occur over
getting another one? I like the fact that the oil pan drops so easy.

Can the oil pan be removed with the transmission installed? If so, how
do you remove/install the bolts that are under the bell housing of the
transmission? When the oil pan has been pushed in, how likely is damage
to the oil pump? The damage appears to be in the center in line with the
drain plug.
Once I get the pan off, can I just forge it back to the correct shape?
