  Mailing list is what this beast is.  Close to the old bulletin boards 
I believe only it comes to you rather than you having to check the 
board daily.  :-)
Blog = abbreviated "weB LOG"  AFIK.  Kind of a combination of a 
visitors list, daily journal, online rag, soapbox and rant page with 
just a touch of voyeurism perhaps on the part of many of the visitors?  ;-)
