I use AS on wheel bolts/nuts as well. Never had one work loose and also never had trouble
removing one. On un-lubed wheel fasteners, I've seen threads strip or have to resort to
extreme measures to get a bolt/nut off at times. I like the way they torque down smoother
when lightly lubed than when dry. I use very little lube, usually only one small dab per
fastener and usually only when that part is first used. I also find that w/ aluminum
wheels, a little AS on the conical seat of the wheel helps keep the lug nut/bolt from
digging into the softer metal.
