  I think "allowable" is .002".  You also have to watch for cylinder 
wall scoring if they "overheat and die."  It's quite common in that 
case and will use oil after that.  I've yet to see one warped so bad
it can't be made useable.  :-)  Internal passage cracks are another 
thing though.
