[Vwdiesel] exhaust sound

I am taking my 1997 Jetta TD (1.9 AAZ) to an exhaust shop tomorrow to have a
custom-bent 2.5" straight pipe installed from the cat to the tail pipe. I
did a mufflerectomy on my 1996 Passat TDI, and noticed no difference in
sound level without the mufflers. The turbo really does quiet the exhaust
to the point where mufflers are unnecessary.
