I have been having my pump dripping for the last few months(only recently finding out why)
, getting worse and worse, until it finally got to 2 drips per second (the dripping fuel wrecked my rad hoses too).
I bought a used pump, then I found out how much it would cost to reseal it before exchanging it so the same thing wouldn't happen.
So to try and at least slow the drip down, I bought a 1 litre container of Kleen-Flo low sulpher diesel fuel conditioner (treats 500 litres of fuel)(lubricates injectors and fuel pump, prevents freezing and icing, methyl hydrate free).
I poured about 1/4 of it into my jetta and topped up the tank,
it presently has stopped leaking...I don't know how long it will last, but at least it seems to have bought me some time.
