[Vwdiesel] blinking alternator light ??

  I'd pull the brush pack/regulator and have a look at brush length.  
Three choices I can think of.  Worn brushes, bad connection, 
feedback through another circuit, in that order.  Feedback shouldn't 
keep the alt from charging though.  I've had the horn relay cause the 
gp led to go on.  Odd stuff like that can happen but it'd take a bad 
connection or short to cause it.
