I'm impressed with it, makes you wonder why anyone would drive
something that when it gets to 100k they want to unload it. I've got
another 1.6na that I'm going to rebuild and then swap it out in the
spring sometime. With what I drive for work, I should have 300k on it
by then. I would like to find a 1.6 turbo, but those are like trying to
find hens teeth around here. My plan is to completely rebuild the
engine from top to bottom, new everything. I was wondering though,
about the stock head, what do I need to look for as far as stress
cracks and such, what determines if it's not wise to re use. I've
rebuilt lots of air cooleds, and a few chevy 350's, but never a diesel.
What do you look for.
