[Vwdiesel] IP Leak

So I've developed a diesel leak in my '84 bunny. In the last month, the
cold weather has forced me to quit running mostly biodiesel. So my last
two tanks have been predominately this new ULSD. Still, I was running B20
and thought I'd be OK. But all it took was two tanks and my injection pump
has sprung a leak.
Last night, I cleaned the pump and the surrounding area really well in
the hopes of finding the source of the leak. What I discovered was a
drip that appeared to be coming from the bottom of the pump at a rate
of about 1 drip every 5 seconds. This morning, after driving to work,
I popped the hood to take a look again. Cleaning the IP last night
really helped, because now I can tell very easily where it is leaking.
I've taken a drawing of a Bosch IP and colored in where the leak is
(leak is shown in olive green color). It was wet below
the bottom unions, but I'm thinking that is simply diesel fuel
spreading from the main leak. This picture only shows the front and
side of the pump, but it was also leaking in the same place on the
back side. So, can somebody tell me what seal this is? I'm learning as
I go. Thanks!
