I agree, it doesn't seem right - the key is tight in its keyway and the
keyway in the pulley doesn't look wallowed out, but I guess it must be
by at least a little bit; either that or some moron put the wrong pulley
on it. Is there anywhere to find the dimensions for this pulley? I
just bought a digital caliper and I'm dying to use it on something 8^0.

If it turns out to be the right pulley, would it be to any good purpose
to rough up the pulley's circumference, so as to give the belt a bit
more purchase on the pulley, or is that a bad idea? It is fairly
polished looking at present.

I figure I can use a scrap of some brass shimstock to make it tight with
the key, or maybe even just a dab of some oil- resistant RTV if I end up
reusing the pulley.

Thanks for your ideas.

Mike
