  Don't think you'll ever find one other than for this application.  It's 
really thin, a bit bigger in dia. than the od of the seal and they're usually 
hard as a rock and split in two.  They're so hard that they get overlooked as 
being an o-ring!  It's around the OD of the part of the carrier that slips into 
the block.  The RTV is probably there because it was leaking and they didn't 
see an o-ring!
