I know I brought thissubject up last fall, but I tried using a
small-aircraft heater instead. Although it works for me, it is quite
cumbersome.

I got a used one for 1/2 price on ebay.
Anyone have an Espar or Webasto heater installed on a VW? The shop has
plans for 99-up, but isn't sure about a3 routing. Of course, the 94
1.6TD Jetta isn't going to show up on anyone's list.. Anyone have one
installed in the trunk? Engine compartment?
I've already got new plugs, good compression, 5W40 synthetic, and a
aircraft heater, but below -5F it doesn't like to sit overnight. Up to
4-8 hours, fine, but 14-36 hours, nope. The wife won't deal with the big
hairdryer-style aircraft heater, so it's time for a $$$ hydronic
heater..
Thanks,
Will
