Isn't there also a pressure regulator for the vane pump?

Andrew

Svend sez : yes Andrew -- BUT NO it is NOT a pressure regulator --it is a SPECIAL
modification of a Pressure regulator. ----remember the pressure in the housing has to
change according to RPM.----BUT you are right it is a Regulator and it IS
adjustable ---That regulator and the ORIFICE --are working in unison to feed the right
amount of fuel , to satisfy the timing piston. Can a DIY adjust the regulator valve
? --yes I do it all the time. And the way I do it will follow . But Andrew you are jumping
ahead a bit.
After the Flow test show that pressure in housing is LOW ---then we do a number of
things --and adjusting the Fuel Regulator valve is on the LIST.

Svend ,

PS : This is where the border between Chore and FUN --begins. (for me) ---In my case the
only chore is testing Tire (Tyre) pressure ---- BOSCH IP.s ? never a chore for me.
