I'm having a strange problem with my 1.6TD. It will glow and start just fine
most of the time, it always "catches" after glowing and starting, but if I
don't crank it long enough that it runs on its own (it will be running on
1-2-3 cylinders, but not on its own without the starter), it will be totally
impossible to start, despite glowing several times etc. Not a single "poof",
just like trying to start without glowing first.
Why does this happen? My old Benz diesel (W123 300D) and Audi (5-cylinder)
never acted like this..
