 Ah, yes, since you changed your nom de plume, your messages have not been
going into my trash file. I'll have to change that. Why is it that you
adopted such a snide alter ego, if I may ask?

 I can deal with you by ignoring your posts because you are mostly harmless
in that I don't believe you are driving away the core members of the group.
You annoy the Hell out of me, but since it seems that it's mostly me you
annoy to this level, I can deal with that. I probably annoy you as well - no
skin off my nose. If I haven't answered any technical questions you have
thrown my way it's because to preserve my sense of tranquility, I haven't
seen them.

 But see, since our resident Dane has been using this list as his personal
soapbox, members have been trickling away. Has anyone else noticed that the
volume has dropped off on this list lately and at about the same time has
picked up on the other diesel list? It's not a coincidence, there's a reason
for that. Most won't make a public issue about it and will just silently
disappear, but private E-mails have been passed around questioning why this
is allowed to continue.

 I care enough about the list to raise a stink when it's very existence is
threatened. Those of us that have been on it for some time have a vested
interest in maintaining the integrity of our formerly close-knit and
friendly group. I am not willing to step aside and let some
Johnny-come-lately self-proclaimed "wizard" drive off friends I have made
and had for many years and smile and act like that's perfectly OK.

IT'S NOT OK.

 We need an active moderator. Are you reading this, Dan? I'll volunteer and
I know you have a list containing names of people who are also ready,
willing, and able to take charge. It's a damn shame it has come to this, I
know that the core members would do anything to try and keep us as a group
from being a bother and we greatly appreciate the service you have provided
to us. We have always up until now been able to shame people into playing
nice on our own but it seems that we have unfortunately been saddled with a
"member" who has no shame.
