Early A1 mounts from 1.5L engine vehicles are different from 1.6L engine
mounts at the IP.  Mounts from A1's w/AC differ from those w/o AC on the
IP side.  Tranny mounts are different depending on the tranny. 5 speed
mounts differ from 4 speed mounts on all A1's.  If you are going to use
mounts from a donor vehicle, make sure they match.  You can tell by
looking.

Does anyone know if the Motor Mounts are all the same on all A1 vw
Diesels.
Actually not the mounts themselves but the brackets that they attach to.
One attached to the transaxle and the other to the front of the engine,
also
mounts the fuel pump.
 
I'm looking to get new mounts pressed in to make an easy and fast
switch.
