[Vwdiesel] help with parts interchange

I need help to determine if two parts will interchange.  I broke the  
plastic collar/funnel that the oil dipstick goes into on my 1Z donor  
engine from the 96 Passat.  I have noticed that ones for the later  
TDIs are readily available and cheap on ebay while the dealer seems  
to think that this is a unique part to the Passat and wants $11.   
Could some one with that parts program that will remain unnamed but  
who we affectionally call "KATE", check on this for me.  In other  
words is the dipstick funnel for the 96 Passat TDI the same as the  
dipstick funnel for the later TDIs.  thanks, Hayden
