Someone finally convinced the top brass to lower the base price to attract more
customers to the VW dealer door step. They have to do so to compete with high
quality Japanese, Korean auto makers. Not many people pay $14500 and buy the
base model anyway but if they lower the price further may be VW's dream to
mutiply Rabbit like crazy will be a reality in NA.
