VW is claiming EPA estimates of 22 mpg city and 30 mpg highway on 
regular unleaded.  No diesel option.


I have heard rumors that Honda will be introducing their diesel in 
select models for all 50 US states, possibly for the 2009 model year.  
My "old" Rabbit will do just fine 'till someone like Honda comes out 
with a viable alternative.
