  Don't fortet you then warm up the engine and turn another 90,  drive 
500 to 600 miles and add another 90.
  Likely the problem when they were reused was they only torqued them 
and didn't end up adding that additional turn by the time it was all done.
  They CAN be reused but is it really worth it?  ;-)  I've heard of them 
being reused no problem (especially in gassers) and I've heard of some 
that snapped during the torque process.  Always run a tap through the 
block threads and blow out the holes when doing a head!  Even more 
critical how cleear they are on the non-stretch bolts.
