I am still early in the research though what i find is while dodge did use a
vw gasser engine up to
approx 1983/4 in the k car (omni/horizan) the minivan is what's called an "s
platform" car which is a decendent of the k car. supposedly this platform
was changed again in 1991 though as has been mentioned here already they
where a poor company and the likelyhood is that they found parts that could
fit their existing tooling set up. I just want a larger capacity van with
better mpg and so think the vw/minivan would make a good end product though
as loren mentioned,the best plan
would be a bolt up with no or minor bellhousing mods. some of the swaps do
sound interesting
though. ray
