[Vwdiesel] '84 Diesel Rabbit Motor Oil 15W-40, 10W-40, 5W-40 . . .

I've use amsoil for many years so I'm a bit biased when it comes to 
oil, It is in my opinion, the best 100% synthetic oil around. You do 
have to be careful when considering "fully" synthetic oil, due to 
industry standards, just because it says "fully" synthetic, does not 
mean it is 100% synthetic. Where as Amsoil is 100% synth oil. I did 
notiv=ce a small mileage increase, better cooling due to its better 
thermal transfer properties and an extended change interval. I changed 
the oil on my last bunny every 25000 or once a year which ever came 
first, so I changed it about every 8 months. I drove that bunny for 8 
years doing just that. Of course if you want to go that extra mile, you 
can get involved with amsoil's oil anyalasis program, where you drain 
off an ounce of oil every so many miles and send it in, they look at it 
and then tell you whether you need to change it. many of the fleets 
that use amsoil use the program. My buddy uses it, and he hasn't 
changed the oil on his TDI in 5 years, yep, no oil change in the last 5 
years!  At any rate, you have a lot of choices, just make that informed 
choice.
