Almost sure to be sucking air, and since the recent filter change, I would
xpect an airleak around it somewhwhere.

Is this a rabbit filter? with the "spin-on" cartridge?
Or the A2 cartridge with the hose conectors swadged in to the top of the can?

Since the filter is geogaphically at "the top of the loop" you can have air
leaking in, and not have fuel leaking out.
