[Vwdiesel] Audi 5000 TD or D wanted

Greetings folks,
Looks like I've been looking in all the wrong places, i.e. the
Audifans/Quattro community.
I'm looking for an Audi 5000 turbo diesel engine.. or N/A diesel, (for that
matter) for Gina, my '86 5000 TQ Avant.
I'm starting to understand that it may include VW Quantums also. Is that
correct, or was that a 4 cyl?
Any info would be appreciated, as well as any BTDTs regarding weak points,
typical failure modes, parts availability, etc.
