Well, I managed to try a second guage set, to see if a different
quick disconnect would work. It didn't.
This morning, I talked with the local dealership, and they confirmed
that the lowside adapter is nothing special...just a standard low
side adapter.
This means that I have a QC abberation. ARRGH. Not found during warranty.
Mine has a hex shape to the extrusion of the adapter, and the ring
which holds the coupler balls is not completely formed. Thus, when
the coupler is slipped on the adapter, the coupler simply slides
off.
