Measure the Piston Protrusion and get the proper Head Gasket.

Subject: [Vwdiesel] Stock head gasket on 1.6TD, 2 hole or 3 hole?
Hi, I will be getting a 92 eco diesel with shreaded timing belt, minor
damage to head on this 1.6TD that was very nicely rebuilt 30K ago.
Head Gasket that was put on at the time of re-build was a 2 hole. Autohaus
AZ shows only a 3 hole.
Compression figures at the time of rebuild on this motor were documented and
pictured at 590psi, a bit high.
The head was lapped by Boston Bob, maybe a 1000 of an inch was removed.
So, after fixing the valve damage, I feel I should go back to a 3 hole, to
lower the compression a bit.
Anyone, no hurry, hope to get it fixed by August.
Anyone interested in my 90 Audi 200, need to sell It's yours, make me an
offer.
