Ah the CX was a popular car over here (not quite a DS though :0)...
My father's car is an 89 AX... About the same size as a Rabbit 5 doo...r 80+
mpg. My parents love all the parcel shelving. The fault does not strike me
as being air leak related. It runs perfectly and is renowned for being
'nippy' but has developed this surge that started off happpenig once every
six months or so but now 2 years on is happening once a week. It lasts for
about 10 to 20 seconds and then reverts to normal. Citroen garage hadn't
heard of it before and nor the Lucas service centre; but they admitted any
faulty pumps get total innard replacement to cover any problems. So if it
was a spring problem it would get changed out with the other more common
faults...
2 Dasher Wagons eh? Do they have the 'factory' roof rack? The best roof rack
ever produced by Audi/VW IMHO...
Oh I bet they have a/c too... :o(

>I own a 1979 Citroen CX Pallas diesel which has just turned 200,000

>5,000 or 6,000 feet in altitude when going over Donner pass on I-80. I also
>own 2 Dasher wagon diesels & 2 Rabbit diesels. The '81 Dasher is undergoing
