Hi Folks;
	I wonder if anyone on the list might have thoughts on the advantage
or disadvantage of using a 1.5 diesel crank rods and pistons in an early 1.6
block as the basis of a turbo project for my 1981 diesel VW Rabbit pickup.
The 1.5 N/A gets it's HP and torque peaks at higher rpm than the 1.6 and I'm
thinking that the 1.5 because of it's shorter stroke would be happier at
highway speeds than the 1.6. I have run a 1.6 Jetta turbo setup in a pickup
before and it did well but I think a 1.5 might be better for freeway
cruising. I would use Raceware head studs, an intercooler, my BAE turbo and
exhaust manifold. I would use a custom K&N intake air filter and a Rabbit
gas intake manifold. The BAE turbo setup will produce more boost than the
Jetta setup so power should not be a problem. I would use a thermostat
controlled oil cooler. A full set of gauges including an Isspro pyrometer to
check EGT,a boost gauge, oil temperature gauge etc.
