[Vwdiesel] How to get the Polo & Lupo, maybe

With gas prices as high as they are now & USA general elections coming up on 11-7-06, if every one living in the USA would contact their representative & senator & ask that DOT/EPA regulations be changed to allow cars like the Smart, Lupo, & Polo diesels be legalized so that if the manufacturers won't bring them in & market them, that individuals be allowed to legally import them. I heard today from a representative of the Calif. Air Resources Board (CARB) that diesel fuel that contains 15 parts sulfur per million are mandated thru out the entire USA as of 7-1-06, not 9-1-06 as I previously heard. This level is not quite as low as some European countries but low enough to enable European diesels to run on our fuel with catalytic converters & particulate traps. This was at a meeting of the ACCC or Association of Calif. Car Clubs annual legislative meeting in Sacramento, Calif.  The ACCC is an organization of various car clubs banded together to help protect the car hobby from the unintended consequences of legislation in Calif. affecting the auto hobby by lobbying the Calif. legislature.
