I have found that you can not use two gauges on one sender - not if you want
to get any meaningful results.

Subject: [Diesel-Vanagon] VDO temp gauges
Has anyone used a VDO Vision or Cockpit series 250F water temp gauge
with the stock VW gauge sender? I was curious if they are calibrated the
same. The VW sender says 125C, whereas the aftermarket VDO ones says
250F/120C.
