[Vwdiesel] HELP - WHEEL FELL OFF !!

Unfortunately, I can believe it.  :roll eyes:  I'm one of the folks who said
"Be sure seal and clip are checked and replaced."  I had almost the exact
same thing happen to a Dodge Caravan and the shop that "repaired".  It's
almost painful the brain chemicals that are rereleased in the deja vu
experience while reading Rolf's ordeal.  That experience was one of the
early experiences that inspired me to learn all I could about my own
vehicles and NEVER LET ANYONE ELSE TOUCH THEM.  AARGH...

PS  I am in total agreement with James here.  If they aren't willing to pay
for the work and parts after they had the opportunity to do it right, Then
they should at least be paying for the rental vehicle that you need to drive
for the next week while the parts are being shipped.
