Hi Stephen,
Few month ago I had a leak too on the fast idle seal. I don't have the
knowledge and I didn't want to take the chance so I sent it out to replace the
seal. It costed me about $100 for one seal replacement. I figured it is still
cheaper than rebuilding the pump itself, $500.
Where did you get the seal kit and how much does it cost? Did you have to use
any special tool to replace the seal on your injection pump? Mine is 81 Rabbit
diesel.
Thanks.
Jeremy
