[Vwdiesel] '84 Quantum: wiper linkage adrift again

I just fixed it--sort of. Last time the nut did me the favor of falling 
completely off; this time it didn't. It was cold and drizzling, I don't 
have a garage, there isn't much room to swing the wrench in there, and 
I didn't have the stomach for backing the nut off in 20-angular-degree 
bites. So I tightened it up again.

The good news is the wipers work again. The bad news is they now park 
pointed straight up, 90 degrees to how they should park. I can live 
with that for now, but how do I fix this? I'll probably take another 
stab at it next weekend, weather permitting. I don't suppose there's 
any kind of slim ratchet wrench I could use? Thanks.
