[Vwdiesel] VW Diesel engine running too hot

I started out typing a long detailed response to this post and about  
halfway through, realized that it could all be summed up with Dave  
Akin's first law of spacecraft design:

1. Engineering is done with numbers. Analysis without numbers is only  
an opinion.

Go get some numbers and we'll have a basis for analysis.
