[Vwdiesel] FF Transmissions

My original trans is on its last legs. I have to double clutch it to get it
into fifth gear. I've located a donor that was involved in an accident and
needs part of the case at the throw out bearing end replaced. Is this just a
six bolt remove & replace kind of thing or can I count on internal damage
that I can't see?

 

Does anyone have a good FF that they would be willing to part with?

What other trans codes are closely compatible with the FF, i.e. same backup
light connection, same gearing, etc.?
