Well, after trying for over an hour to get a dash out of a Cabby and
not being able to get the knee bar off (where is that mysterious
connector in the center of the bar?), I moved next door to an 84
Jetta and removed the dash in about 20 minutes. Looks like it will
fit easily into the Caddy. It has the second small glove compartment
on the passenger's side but I think their is a piece missing under
the drivers side. does anyone happen to have this piece just laying
around? I need to do some minor repairs and then use vinyl die to
make it black. Now to tackle the process of splicing wires and
connectors to the new switches and figuring out a way to mount the A3
Jetta TDI gauge cluster in the dash and then install the whole
thing. Thanks to those who gave me advice on the dash fitment. BTW
this dash is EXACTLY the same as the Cabby dash but without the knee
bar. Hayden
