The Rabbit has been sitting for 7 months, with about 2 gallons of diesel in the tank. Glow Plugs don't work. Block Heater does with some wd40 on a rag. Needs to crank for 25-40 seconds to initially start. After about a minute revving or idling, doesn't matter it starts to misfire and then cut out and stall. Changed the Fuel Filter, New battery, Voltage going to fuel solenoid cutoff--it clicks, so I think it's working, although perhaps and intermittant problem with the solenoid. Added some fresh fuel, another 2 gallons. The rebuild has about ~75k on it, it runs but keeps stalling and is hard starting even when warm. Cracked each injector and it pulsed fuel so I really don't know what the problem is. Any suggestions? The car has sat before for this long and will fire right up as though if it was driven the day beforee...but not this time. Thanks!UPDATE: Put new glow plugs in. The cloyh/runner line coming out of the fuel pum must have been deteriorated because I notice it was cut
and no longfer attached to pump. Also, last return line on injector was off. Then it pored!
