[Vwdiesel] Dash on

Hi William;
I haven't measured yet but I plan to use an Audi 4000 tank that fits
on edge between the rear shock towers. I plan to open it up and install a
heating unit. That would leave the spare tire still in its original well.
I also plan to have the fill pipe go to the outside of the car. The Audi
tank holds 16 gallons so that would give a pretty decent range on veggie.
Let's see 16 times 45 equals 720 miles. That would give me one way to my
brothers house in the Bay Area in California. Perhaps I could convince him
to filter some veggie for me and I could make it home without hitting the
diesel tank except when I want to shut the Dasher down.

I too, have a 1981 Dasher diesel station wagon with factory A/C & an '80
Dasher diesel wagon parts car. I have similar plans to yours In running my
Dasher on biodiesel & veggie oil. Therefore, would like to know how you do
your dual tank conversion. Do you cut out the spare wheel well & install an
extra tank there or do you have some other plans?
