[Vwdiesel] Alternate Jack Locations

While jacking (using the car's jack in the specified location) the front
left tire on a 1982 Rabbit, the jack pushed up into the body.  I didn't
think the body had that much rust out, but obviously it does in this
spot.  What are the alternate jacking locations with mechanic floor jack
and also with some more portable jack if a flat tire occurs while on
travel.

 

Also, many thanks for the help with a recent IP switch out.  I did a
pull start and had it going in about 50 feet.  After repairing a glow
plug fuse, the glow plugs now get it going.
